We are now just finishing week eight after my final treatment at the Mayo Clinic.  It's  been very difficult up to this point.  I was told that recovery from a second treatment program takes longer.  My throat pain has improved so I'm not taking the  hydromorphone any longer and I am working on clearing out the heavy drugs from my system.  I have never experienced withdrawal symptoms before.  It's really scary and difficult.

We have SCANS set for May 15th. The doctors will read and evaluate the scans  to see how well the treatment worked.   Our prayer is that the cancer is gone!

We now need to pray for a strong recovery. The past few days have been very difficult in finding a way to manage my sinus and throat pain.  Sleeping is a challenge.  I am also experiencing lockjaw again this time.  We are working on that with a  chiropractor and PT which is extremely painful.  I remain on a liquid diet.

We take one day at a time.  God gives us that command.  I have some long lonely nights.  I continue to call out to the Lord for strength and healing.  Satan continues to attempt to steal my joy and hope.  The nights are where he is the strongest.  It takes all the strength I have to battle with Satan.  I continue to call out to my Lord for help and healing, but night after night He has been silent.  I will remain steadfast to my faith and committed to the Lord's plan for me.  He has not failed me yet.

Lord, may you continue to lead me forward through this difficult journey,  one day at a time.  I will begin each day with open hands of faith, ready to receive all that You are pouring into my life.
