Larry has set a spiritual role model for me and many persons received his help.
Larry is the light of the world.

Lord.
Help us remember the lessons of Larry's life;
to live with joy;
to be a source of strength for others;
to face our difficulties and challenges
with courage and grace.

The world is less bright today without Larry. He was a remarkable person, kind, funny, wise.

I am grateful for having gotten to know Larry and work with him at WINLAB. I cannot think of a better example of someone who was so accomplished and so humble at the same time. Wherever he is, I am sure he is smiling at us with a twinkle in his eye.

As others have said, we 'knew' this would occur at some point. With that being said, it is sad and, probably for many of us, hard to shake this feeling of unpleasantness.

When we were with Larry (and Pearl), it was like the world stopped and nothing else mattered besides our conversation (which -may- have included a pun or two).

I'm reminded of the following from the Bible (commentary?) that when significant events occur, "Not a bird chirped, the sea didn't stir and the sun and moon stood still,....The world was silent. "

Maybe, last night or early this morning, the world was silent and took note.

And the Cubbies are in first place.


We will miss Larry immensely. We are not alone.

Extremely sorry to hear this. I have no words to describe my feelings. I will miss him a lot and his lessons will stay with me forever. Condolences to you and the family.
