Dave and Kent’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your prayers, support, and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

During the Summer of 2019 Dave was diagnosed with a liver disease called PSC. After multiple tests, it was determined that a liver transplant is the only cure. Out of Nat, Ty, and Kent, Kent's liver was the best match and he will be the live donor on March 17th, 2020. This is where we will be posting updates throughout their surgery and recovery time.

Dave is being discharged this afternoon. His wbc is back down so that’s a praise. He has tested positive for COVID but they are saying he’s asymptomatic. Sorry if he was around any of you but at least he would have been wearing a mask. He was put on a COVID wing and felt so isolated. His nurse last night saw his bible and told him she was a believer too. When Dave told me that I smiled and said thank you Lord, now I can sleep better.
