Landis’s Story

Site created on June 3, 2023

Dear Friends and Family, On Thursday, June 1, Gavin, Landis and Gavin's girlfriend got into a fatal car accident on their way home from Gavin's graduation. They were hit (t-boned) by a truck who ran a red light through the intersection of Keller and Winchester Road. Tragically, Gavin’s girlfriend died upon impact. Gavin suffered cuts and bruises and a fractured hand and Landis is currently in the hospital in a coma from severe brain injury.  What has happened is unfathomable and every parent's worst nightmare. We are asking for prayers for Gavin’s girlfriend’s family and for Landis to be healed and be restored. Landis has suffered a severe brain injury. She is in a coma with pain management and in the care of neurological surgeons who are testing her daily for neurological progress. The status is not day by day with an injury of this size - it is hour by hour. We covet your prayers. This website has been set up to share with you Landis' progress and status. Please feel free to subscribe. Sarah's sister, Amy, will update it and you will get notifications when it is updated if you subscribe. We thank our God Jesus Christ for his provision of all of you reaching out and giving gifts, food, thoughts and love. At this time, we ask that you please keep text messages to Mike and Sarah to a minimum and if you need more immediate response, please reach out to Amy at 619-733-6538 or via email at amy@conradpr.com. We hold on to our Lord and Jesus Christ, who in Joshua 1:1-9 says "For I will be with you...I will not fail or abandon you...do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." We also ask that if any of you come across verses that you want to share, please share them here as it helps Mike and Sarah. God is near to the broken hearted. His word is a comfort to us all.
