Lance’s Story

Site created on January 9, 2022

This is a way for me to be able to update everyone on how lance is doing. As you all know lance is in icu with covid pneumonia. He spent all of December sick with different things. January 2 he was diagnosed with covid. January 3rd we were admitted to the hospital due to him struggling to breathe. Since then he has been in the icu. Now we are on a vent. He has a lot of inflammation in the tissue of his lungs. We are praying that he heals and recovers well. This is definitely a roller coaster of a ride. But we will overcome this obstacle in life. Thank y’all for all of the continued love and support durring this time.

Journal entry by Breanna Moffett Hukins

Yesterday when they did diyalisis they were able to pull 1.5 liters of fluid off of lance. Which is amazing that is a total of 3lbs. He had a decent night. A few little issues with his heart racing but it would calm down almost instantly. Same thing today with his heart. They did diyalisis again today. They had the same goal to pull around 1.5-2 liters of fluid off of him. We will know how well it is working for his kidneys within the next day. He had a pretty decent day. Besides the heart racing but after I would talk to him and tell him to calm down his heart rate would return to normal. I’m praying we continue down this route and make a come back. Keep those prayers coming y’all bc I definitely feel like they are working and we need them more than ever.

I did check on him not long ago. Nothing has changed since I left around 3:30. So let’s pray for a good night.
