Though I was also a classmate of Lana's all through school at St. Charles, MN, as well as at the UofM in Minneapolis, I lived a few blocks further away from her than Cindy (and Carol Holzer.) We became very good friends in high school and Lana was the maid of honor in my wedding when Glen Harcey and I were married. Lana treated everyone completely fairly and always had that impeccable character that we all know and love. She and I shared a love of books though she was willing to accept the challenge of more difficult and in-depth ones much earlier than I. Lana was my greatest inspiration in life and I especially enjoyed her travel logs in recent correspondence. I already miss her terribly and seem to be unwilling to "let her go" in spite of the certainty of knowing where she is headed...a place of "beauty and light" according to Glen. My heart goes out to all of you who are close to Lana - blessings to each of you as you continue to love and care for her,
