Good Morning to Laiven,
As I think of you almost every day and especially today I ask you to allow me to visit with you through a letter of love and encouragement. The two of us both know what is going on in your life so we'll move past the details of the last few months and get straight to the heart of the matter and herein lies my loving words to you....
Long ago and far away I sat in a church one Sunday morning, perhaps something like this one and the minister gave this inspirational message to us, his congregation. Bless his heart, I may be the only one who remembers his illustration and that's OK because I may have been the only one that Sunday who needed to hear it and would apply it to their life. Today, with your permission, I want to share it with you believing that in sharing it, it never stops inspiring the Father's children, which of course we all are. It's a little long but stay with me, I suspect you will come to love it as I do...
We all travel a road called "life" each of us in our vehicle which we call our "body" and as we go along we have occurrences of which many are beautiful...We have great scenery along this road, mountains, deserts, fabulous horizons, forests, sunrises and sunsets. We pass others as we travel along this road, we wave...or honk or pass them and may actually may see them again later.....of course there are those we will never see again and that's OK. We fuel our vehicle with power to continue our journey, keep it clean and in good running condition, we come to love vehicle and sometimes we become one with it.
As we go along up above us in a different realm, hovering in His vehicle is our Father and He can see all of the vehicles down below and He can also see the road ahead of us.... the hilltops, the valleys, those bridges, the bumps and curves....especially important are the curves in our roads because we can't see around them but Praises be unto Him, He can. In His infinite love and beauty He is always there above us and each day we travel can be a preparation for what is around that next curve....
Where you are now, what you are undergoing is a terribly painful overhaul of your vehicle and if you can believe it, trust it is because at some point...around that curve...where you can not see may be a happening....Who knows what it will be, we don't, but your Father God does...and this over haul may be the exact challenge you need now to make it possible for you to face and overcome this happening....around that curve! It may be the exact thing which will make you the conqueror, the victor, the over comer....because you were prepared by divine power...It may be the fire through which you will travel which will mold you into a miracle of love and beauty. Now, the happening, the one around that curve may be a wonderful professional life experience, fame and fortune may be around that curve....again, none of us know what lies ahead, do we?...but whatever it is YOU will be awesome. You are being wonderfully wrought into an amazing woman....with a story unique unto itself because it will be about YOU and YOUR road. I pray each and every day you will have the strength to awaken and tell Father, mold me and make me, I trust and love you Father.
I know this is long, your Grandmother Marilyn can attest to the fact that I am lengthy in my correspondence, TeeHee! I've traveled my own long and winding road and I'm compelled to share when I can what I know of for a surety and that is that our Father has not abdicated His throne.
And so these three remain, Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is love, Betty Gerth-Martin
