Sounds like an overwhelming day full of ups and downs. You all continue in our prayers. Sounds like God is leading you to the correct doctors who will take the time to listen and explain things to you. You are great parents and doing a wonderful job! God give you peace and strength to continue. Love Craig and Betsy

I am so happy that the Doctor took her time with you. I can certainly understand how overwhelming it must have been to receive so much information at one appointment. Please know that I think of you often, and I will continue to pray for Hayes, and also for your family. You and your husband are great parents, and Hayes is very lucky to have you both.

So sorry to hear about your ordeal last week; that should have never happened! It sounds as though the good Lord continues to watch over little Hayes, after friends told you about Dr. Klein, of Boys Town, who accepted Hayes, as a new patient. Being under the care of an excellent Pediatric Neurologist is extremely important for Hayes' continued development. Glad to hear that Dr. Klein has already reviewed Hayes' medications and made some changes. Fifty-two years ago, after my daughter suffered a seizure, Phenobarbital was prescribed. It increased her level of hyperactivity, behaviors and disrupted her sleep pattern. Phenobarbital was widely used in those days for seizures, with little knowledge of its adverse affects. It was a blessing when Keppra was developed, which in my daughter's case, brought her seizures under control. Continued prayers for little Hayes and his loving family members.

Kyle, I think a second opinion is a need to have and understand the meds, along with behavior, etc. I think you are totally doing the right thing. These doctors know how these meds work, that's why we have to trust them. If you feel comfortable with the doctor, and you have girls that have referred you and work there its a win win for you Hayes, Jess and the family. Your doing the right thing!!! Love you girl! Hang in there!
