This is the last major surgery and then eventually they will remove the port, probably next year.
He will be in the ICU tonight and then in the hospital for a week. He will resume chemo Oct 8.
He remains positive and is determined to continue life as normal. He did get a visit to SC to see friends and a quick day and night in Wildwood NJ. He loves the beach so that was a nice pre-surgery treat. Thanks for the continued prayers. He’s been amazing throughout this and been a friend to some of the younger kids at Hopkins. It is humbling to see the brave kids who are being robbed of a portion of their childhood and forced to face life-threatening diseases. They are all my heroes. Kyle of course being my biggest hero. #kylestrong
