What wonderful news for 2019. It is nice to be reminded to stay focused and live in the moment each day which a lot of us forget to do. Blessings and Happy New Year to you. Pam

THE MINUTE I SAW THERE WAS A NEW POSTING, I KNEW IT WOULD BE UPLIFTING. I REREAD IT TO HELP ME REMAIN IN THE “NOW”. IREALLY DO TRY TO STAY IN THATFOCUS ON LIFE, BUT OF. COURSE SLIP INTO FRETTING OVER SOMETHING OF WHICH I HAVE NO CONTROL—-BUT AFTER A SHORT CONVERSATION WITH GOD I GET BACK TO THE “NOW”. YOU ARE ALWAYS AN INSPIRATION. WE FLY TO NAPLES MONDAY, WILL KEEP IN TOUCH BY PHONE OR TEXT. PEACE AND HEALING IN THE NEW YEAR. KAREN

Once again you inspire and lead by example! Though I have attended many workshops on mindfulness and "being" (living in the now), I really have to work at this. I wholeheartedly adopt your attitude, and have found through my recent health scare and brush with near death that present time is precious. Indeed, as the saying goes, the past is gone, the future is yet to come, and the present is a present (or something like this - believe I saw it in a book called the Precious Present).

Hi Kurt! I'm delighted to hear of your excellent test results. The targeted therapy sounds more like miracle than medicine, but either way I am grateful that you are well, here and now. I think you've touched on the simplest and yet most profound thing we can say about life: We get it a day at a time. God has promised us a future, but we live from day to day even as we reach beyond ourselves. Funny that you should mention "Groundhog Day." It's one of my favorites, and every time I watch it, I'm reminded that great lives are created a day at a time. It's just the 10th Day of Christmas ("ten lords a-leaping"), so I'll wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

WOW! Once again you have eloquently written the thoughts and practices of the terminally ill. Living in the here & NOW. Being happy NOW. Living gratefully NOW. Positive contributions to the future NOW. I too, draw inspiration from my dog-a great example of unconditional love & living in the now with much happiness. Enjoy your new look at the beauty & fragility of life. It is such a beautiful gift we have been given. A deeper insight...A BIG THANK YOU to God for a greater understanding of living in the NOW!
