I am still shocked and finding it difficult to accept that Kirk is no more with us. I had the privilege to meet him about 40 years back when he had come with Dr. Deepak Bajracharya to meet me at my office at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu . Soon after i had the opportunity to collaborate with him in renewable energy projects while he was associated with the then Resources System Institute at the East-West Center , Hawaii. Although our professional collaboration was not a long one we became very close friends and have been in close communication and contact all these years. I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Joan and Nadia and I send them my love
