Kristin’s Story

Site created on January 16, 2020

In December 2015, Kristin was diagnosed with Stage III Breast Cancer. She had to do 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 28 days of radiation. On June 10, 2016 she finished her chemo treatment, she had a double mastectomy on August 17, 2016, and was officially in remission. Unfortunately, she had a setback in October of 2016 when she had a stroke. She was able to finish her radiation treatments once she healed from the stroke.

On December 17, 2019 Kristin was not feeling well and decided to go to Montgomery Cancer Center for a precautionary appointment. She took some labs that day, and on December 20, 2019 she received her results for the lab work that was done. We knew the cancer was back, but had to wait for the PET Scan and MRI of her Brain to know exactly where the cancer had spread. Her cancer is currently back in both of her lungs, all of her bones and her liver. They did a biopsy on her liver to verify what type of cancer on January 3rd, 2020. And on January 10, 2020, we learned that she had Metastatic Breast Cancer. Thankfully, the MRI of the brain did not show any cancer. Praise God! On February 3, 2020 we leave for MD Anderson in Houston, TX. We will be there for a few days to run tests. Please continue to pray for Kristin as we enter another battle with cancer.
