Kristen’s Story

Site created on July 3, 2018

As a lot of people know, I have had my share of struggles in this lifetime already so why not, throw a weird mystery illness at it! Lyme disease is one of the fastest growing vector (bite) born illnesses and with an increase in better testing (still a LONG way to go) more and more is being learned about this disease all the time. Lyme disease is named after a town in Connecticut where these mysterious symptoms popped up in the 1970's but really what it is, is a bacterial infection from bacteria borellia. There are other co-infections that can go along with it and my doctor also believes I have at least one along with the Borellia called Bartonella. There is a long journey ahead and I need all the support I can get! I have very little energy these days, and the antibiotics are making it tank even more. Updating everyone especially in detail takes up a lot of energy so I will post here for more in depth updates, treatments, how I'm responding and all that. I will still be updating on social media but this allows me to put something somewhere once and especially all boring bits haha. Thanks for being a long for the ride.

I haven’t been updating lately sorry! Truth is I haven’t been taking my antibiotics like I’m supposed to. There’s no time for this being sick business. The house is almost done but there is SOOO much to do, and I can’t be sick...if I take my antibiotics I’ll be even sicker. I’ve been taking them on days Tim is home and usually just one son it’s something and not nothing.

I’m beyond overwhelmed. I can’t be sick.
