Newest Update

Journal entry by Amanda Urban

Hey everyone thank you for keeping up with what all has been going on with the Kenigs. So much has changed for them over the past few weeks but life is finally starting to get a set routine. Huge blessing and answer to prayer kornel was able to go home the weekend after Thanksgiving! Going home was a big change but a good one. Kornel is so much happier being home and Kelsey is so happy to have him home.
Right now Kelsey is back to work and kornel gose to physical therapy everyday. They were able to get him in at a place that specializes with people who had brain traumas so they should be able to help him relearn all the things he has to learn. His left side is still really weak and it is still hard for him to remember that his left side is not working. They will be working with him a lot on getting strength back to the left hand and arm. This is still a long road and we are praying that God will bring him back to full strength. Kornel is still having to learn how to slow down some and think threw how to get around things in the house. So many times he just wants to get up and walk like he was able to do before this happened and that makes him a fall risk still.  Right now he is able to walk with a specialized crutch and someone close by to make sure he doesn't try to go too fast. When they're going to be out longer he still gets to use a wheelchair to get around.

They were able to go to church last Sunday and kornel loved getting to see people. So there have been a lot of answers to prayers over the past few weeks. but as always we are still very grateful for any more prayers for both of them.
