Hey there everyone- 

 

After a week of some gains and feeling good, seems that Dad had a TIA or stroke early this morning. He's got some confusion and verbal mishmash going on, so please know that you'll need to adjust your expectations while visiting him. He's totally talking up a storm, but both of you will have to take everything with a grain of salt and patience while communicating. 

 

Also, I understand that everyone wants the best for him and that this journey of change, loss, joy, reminiscing and love is a lot to process, but he is in home hospice for a reason. He will not miraculously "get better". He will have lucid great days, he will have confused shitty days, we all are in the process of shifting our expectations. I encourage you to visit and communicate with him knowing all of this. We as a family are so very thankful for visitors and the love that we've felt over the last couple weeks, thank you for loving Dad & us.
