Journal entry by Susan Snyder

  1. Hi Everyone, I just want you to know that I'm feeling pretty good. Two weeks out of the month I feel like I'm just fine and can't believe I've received this diagnosis. I'm on the infusion Chemo one week during the month and I take four chemo pills every day. They are large horse pills and I HATE TO SWALLOW PILLS, PERIOD!!!!! I was in the hospital for a week to make certain I could handle the pills and the infusion at the same time because the pills really affect the kidneys. I, also, had the port from NCH removed and a "smart port" installed. Now, I can take baths and even swim. You can't see it as it's under my skin and I no longer have clumbsy cables sticking out of my chest. Our hospital was just wonderful and I LOVE MY NEW DOCTOR and I actually see him in person and he came to the hospital every day unlike my Naples doctor. I meet my new cardiologist later this week. I wish I could be in Naples.....it's so beautiful and I love and miss my Naples friends.
