Kim’s Story

Site created on October 30, 2019

Tuesday around 10:30 PM, Kim suffered a severe brain aneurism. I called 911 and started CPR. She was transported to Kingman Regional Hospital. They discovered the aneurism when they did they CT scan. She was then airlifted to Sunrise Hospital in Vegas. They drilled a hole in her head to relieve pressure. She will be having surgery soon to hopefully repair the leak. The good news is that she is responding to pain stimulus. The bad news is, the aneurism is a 5 on a scale of 5. She has alot of blood in her brain. Doctors give her about a 10% chance of surviving. Many prayers need please.

Journal entry by Paul & Kim Schmidt

Yesterday was a GREAT day. We picked up Kim from the Hospital. She was very confused during most of the day. I attribute that to over stimulation from the drive home and being back home. She was also very tired. She slept very well last night, in fact she is still sleeping right now.  Our fur babies sure are glad she is home.
