Kim, it is amazing to read your posts -- I know you are grateful ... but I must say, it is we who receive lessons in gratitude and humility. Talk about a strong woman!!! Your courage and determination to live each day, to take advantage of what lies ahead, teaches me how to live. Meeting and getting to know you, was a highlight in my life, but even more, as time passes, and I get to experience your beautiful smile, your poetry, your honesty, you are more and more precious to me. So glad I was gifted with you in my life. always, Martha

Dear Kim (and Dodee),
Thanks for your continued posts. In a matter of speaking, I have shared your journey in another time and with it's own label. So, to what degree one can understand another's journey, I am with you. I know the fear of the unknowable, the hours of waiting, watching, resting, hurting, and enduring. So, too, do I know the hoping, laughing, crying, loving, and imbibing in the beauty of another day or another hug. I treasure the memories we shared during the late 70's/early 80's of swimming and hanging out on the wall or in the grass at Deep Eddy, summer evenings of margaritas and enchiladas on the little bridge/deck at El Arroyo after Deep Eddy, and Sunday morning buckwheat/banana/strawberry pancakes and mimosa's at your place with a few other Deep Eddy buddies. Those days were good ones. And so, too, will you discover a new beauty in these. I believe we are surrounded by Love, and only by Love, really. So I know that you are in the good and loving arms of friends and loved ones. Although we may be physically divided by 2063.9 miles (Portland, OR to Wimberley) the Love that connects us all has no space or division. In that regard, I am right there by your side. I am available for deep listening should you desire it. Message me and I can give you my cell/email. Until then, may the beauties and joys of your days continue to unfold. All my best, Sabrina Norris McDonald
