I am sooooooooo proud of you. You are so precious and raw and vulnerable and honest and faithful. Praying a hedge of protection around you, that you feel His peace flood over you and that He fills you with hope!! You are so loved.

Thanks for sharing your heart, Kimmy, even when it's breaking. We so appreciate your love for the Lord and your trust in Him even in this dark time. I was reading this morning about Hagar, and even though her situation was so desperate, she found hope and strength in the fact that God is a God of seeing...one who truly looks after us (Genesis 16:7-15). We are praying that for you as well...that you experience the presence and peace of God, knowing that He knows and loves you and Mike and your little boys and that He has a purpose and plan for your lives. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers! With much love, Fred and Donna

HI Kim. You do not know me, but I saw your story on Fox 17 news. Since that time, I have been following your story on Caring Bridge, and have kept you and your family in my prayers. I admire your honesty and your strong faith. God has blest you with a great support system to help you endure this journey. I will offer prayers for a safe trip home this week, and a very blessed Thanksgiving.

Hi Kimmy - I don't know if you remember me, but your mom and dad will. My husband Gary and I go to Baldwin St CRC. I work in the library there, and years ago we had a mouse mascot in the library that you and your sister won the naming contest and gave the name Baldwina to our mouse. I am so sorry to hear all that has happened to you and your family. The saying that kept going through my head as I read this post is that your life can change in a blink of an eye, BUT GOD NEVER BLINKS! And praise the Lord that He does not blink. He watches over us at all times. I also thank God for the faith you and your family have, and will continue to remember all of you in our prayers. Barb Snider

Dear Kimmy,
I am a friend of Monica’s and she shared your Caring Brudge blog with me as I coordinate prayer at The Chapel where she attends . I am a pastor’s wife and have a daughter who has young children too. Your blog was so honest from the depths of your heart and yet I see you somehow clinging to Jesus and we will pray that for you. The Holy Spirit also intercedes for us with groaning we can’t even express and I’m thankful for that. I will continue to pray for you and your precious husband and boys. May you find something to be thankful for this week and see Gods’s special hand in you!

Kimmy, I too am looking so forward to all the first for the twins can't wait for Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays and dedication. But I am also looking forward with faith to your first: first step without pain, the first twin jumping on your lap, first bending down to pick up a toy, first trip up the stairs, the first time we hear the cancer is gone. I know you have valleys but I have always seen that no matter what you always have your eyes on Jesus. You are an inspiration. I love You.
Gram Wallinga wanted me to give you this verse Zephaniah 3:17 which has touched her heart. "For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty warrior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."

My thoughts are with you, Mike and the boys during this incredibly difficult journey. You are such a great writer with such wonderfully thought provoking and balanced thoughts. We haven’t met but I hope we meet soon. I work with Mike and he is a superstar.
All my best, Anne

Kim..... you sure are a “light” in a so often dark world. And you don’t have to be happy and positive all the time to be a light. You ARE a light because you are “real “ and “honest” and you always give us Jesus. Satan May be prodding you because that’s his business. BUT.... you” are more than a conqueror”... and he’ will never succeed.
You have hardly had a chance to process the diagnosis and all that it encounters.... and it sounds like the last few days it has washed over you. A good cry from the heart can be cleansing. We are all blessed by your heartfelt words.. ..every time.
And your words help all of us be able to pray specifically. Non of us truly understands exactly what your feeling, but you sure have a lot of warriors out there praying for exactly what you stand in need of, because HE knows.
We’re praying too, that your homecoming will be a respite for your heart and soul and body. Back with your hubby and babies and family.
You are in Gods hands we know.
