Journal entry by Kimberly Tauzin

A little has happened since I have gotten back with u. I was suppose to see my neurologist Friday before last and i recieved a last minute phone call that my appt was cancelled and they had no one to see her patients. That was just lovely. I've since had to find one (neurologist) and also someone to see for pain management. I know no one, so I asked my oncologist locally and at Tulane. Nobody at Tulane has called me to this day, but the local Dr. Saw me the day I called for the appt. I think my other dr. not seeing patients anymore may be a blessing in disguise. She blew off my PRES syndrome at my 1st post transplant visit, n I had concerns. My new Dr. Is very concerned. Larry said I had looked and acted initially as if I had a stroke, and no one has said that to me, that I remember, but the new dr said I have. He went over my MRI with me and showed me about 8 areas that lit up with contrast. I know from my yrs of working around MRI results that those areas should not be there. Also, deep in there is a "lesion", that concerns him as well. I've had some tests and am having another MRA to take a closer look. He says that it probably isn't a tumor but he needs to err on the side of caution. I saw that I had some of these same tests at Tulane, but I was not cooperative for some of them.  Oops, sorry. I dont remember that. My legs still are wobbly n weak, so they want me to go to PT. I'm going for the eval. But I hope they will let me pay on time cause 2xwk co pay is a lot right now. We're still paying hospitals,  dr.s n meds, n so on. We'll see. Ha!, they know me well. They'll probably dread to see me on the schedule. Well my fingers are tired, so gonna go. Luv you all!
