Journal entry by Denise Svoboda

One year ago today Kiana had surgery to replace her piece of skull that they had to remove the night of her accident.  We can not be more happy and proud of Kiana for all she has overcome since her accident 14.5 months ago.  Even though she has to deal with some side effects from the accident she is determined to not let it affect her life.

She is back to running as far and as fast as she did before the accident.  Her hair is getting longer but it will take awhile for it to get as long as it was!

She is having a great beginning of the school year teaching 3rd grade at Greattinger-Terril. She just loves working with the kids.

I told Kiana we should change her name from Kiana Marie to Kiana Miracle!!

Obviously God has a purpose for Kiana and we look forward to seeing what He has planned for her.

Ephesians 2:8. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -
