So sorry about the pain Kevin. I also live with chronic pain. Keeping your mind on something else really helps. Also ice packs. It numbs the area for a while. Don't keep it on more than 20 minutes. Ask your Dr. before you put ice packs on your recent surgery. Sometimes keeping a heating pad on an uninjured part of my body is very comforting. Snacking on comfort foods helps Just a little bit every few minutes. I try to see how long I can make last. Have you been reading books? Audiobooks may be helpful. Do you play board games? That can be a distraction. Something that is very helpful to me is having someone lightly touch my arm, and kind of tickle it. If you suffer from deep nerve pain, just keep your faith strong, and know it will lessen in time. You may want to ask your Dr. you are a candidate for gabapentin. It helps with nerve pain. Show yourself grace. Be patient. This is a season. It is not forever. We are so thankful that there is no infection in your leg. Thank you, Jesus! We would like to visit you if you are open to that?
