Kevin’s Story

Site created on January 12, 2021

What led to this journey. In 2007 I went in to see my doctor at her request since it had been years since I had seen her. Blood work showed high levels of Ferratin (Iron). i was referred to a GI doctor in which a liver biopsy was done. I was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis. It is not known why my body decided to attack the liver. I then was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis. My GI doctor has been providing excellent care and it has been managed for the last 12 years. In August, I started the liver disease decline.
