Newest Update

Journal entry by Renee Lorenz

It's 9:30 pm Wed evening and Kevin is tucked in bed, talking in his sleep. It' something new for him but I get amused by the conversations he has. It must be a side effect from his pain meds.
The last update I mentioned he was having pain after his liver biopsy, well the pain has continued. The Dr did pull his drainage tube from his side today and we were hoping that would alleviate it all together. It has not. He requested a wheelchair at the clinic today because he could barely walk. Now we wonder if it might be related to his hernia. Dr said he can come back in a month for the hernia surgery. He didn't want to do it right away because of the steroids he is on.
His lab work and ultrasound look good. They do have him on a strong antibiotic for a possible infection of the incision. There's an area that was filling up under the skin, getting very red and hot to the touch.
Tomorrow they will remove the staples from his incision, he wanted to drive home after but I want to be sure his pain is under control before we head home so hopefully Fri.
Thank you all for your prayers.
