Journal entry by Diana Oleary —
Hi Everyone,
This is Kevin posting. I had a PET Scan on Tuesday (9/7) and the results showed no cancer, which means that I am in remission! I will have to have scans every 3 months for two years then every 6 months until year 5 to be cured but this is great news! I want to thank all of you who gave us gift cards to Grubhub, Uber Eats and Goldbelly and also brought meals (Diana and the girls were so grateful)! I also want to say thank you to those who gave me rides to treatment (chemo and radiation) as we couldn't have done it without you! Your emails, texts and phone calls of encouragement were so thoughtful and I want you to know they really helped. I don't wish this on anyone (radiation therapy is HELL!!) but if you, or anyone you know, suffers the misfortune of being diagnosed with throat cancer please contact me. I will be happy to share my knowledge and experience and answer any questions you, your loved one or friend may have. No-one fights cancer alone. It takes the support of your family and friends to help you through those long days. Diana, Me, Kaleigh and Jackie were touched by your gestures of kindness. A BIG Thank You to ALL of you and a BIG Thank You to Caring Bridge!!
