Kevin’s Story

Site created on December 18, 2020

Kevin was rushed to the hospital early Tuesday morning complaining of chest pain, weakness and a severe cough. He was admitted to the ICU shortly after and placed on a ventilator to help with pneumonia, a weak heart, kidneys and high blood pressure. We ask his friends and loved ones to pray for his recovery and eventual return home to his wife and kids.

If you know Kevin, you know that his tribe of 4 means everything to him and his quiet strength is the foundation from which this family is built on. Kevin’s circle of friends continues to grow and this is just proof of his effect on people. There was never a task too small for Kevin to volunteer to help with.

We appreciate all of the calls, texts, and well wishes. At this time and likely for a while we are not accepting visitors due to covid as Kevin is extremely high risk and we are making every effort to keep both him and his household safe both leading up to and once he returns home. If you would like to drop off food, please check the days we need food on the “meal train” in the ways to help section of this website. If you would like to donate to the family to help them financially during this time, please do so through cash app ($tglass01 or lookup Tameka’s phone number there).

From time to time we will be sending out “special requests” in the ways to help section (for example: PU class assignments for chase and cowyn) so if you have the time and would like to help in other ways, we encourage you to check there often.

We will also be documenting this process throughout Kevin’s recovery and encourage friends and family to write words of encouragement and notes for Kevin to read throughout this process. You can do that in the “well wishes” tab

Good evening everyone. It’s been a month since Kevin was released from the hospital and he’s doing very well. Now that he’s up and out, I’m going to let him share his recovery moving forward. Feel free to reach out to him if you’re wanting to check in.

Thank you all for your prayers through this period. We’re looking forward to seizing the day and living life to the fullest today and everyday. Hopefully this time has allowed us all to reflect on things and realize tomorrow is not promised. Be well, be blessed and be encouraged!

Sincerely,
Bethany
