Journal entry by Kesner Flores

I have not written for awhile. The last days of treatment was a very rough road, at times it was hard to continue. My wife would tell me that I was almost there. I was tired of pain, and at times or days not having energy. I was tired of eating through my feeding tube, and not being able to eat regular food, my sense of smell is good, my mouth doesn't break down the food (salivary glands are not working). I have a rat tail where a bushy pony tail once hung. My wife would and continues to tell me it will grow back. Lisa, I can't find the words to say how that kept me going, and grounded as rough as the road was. I also want to thank my kids, who were more concerned about my well being then I was at times. If I needed help they were there, even if I didn't ask for it. When I would begin to lose my energy, my kids were the first to see it. Without them forcing me to take a break, I probably would have burnt out. They sometimes would even rat me out to Lisa and she would be there to tell me to go sit down and rest. The Kids would even pull me up when I would fall down, the older ones would take the time to call me and ask how i was doing.

My body is still healing, I still get tired and I still keep moving.

Last week I had my PET CT scan and I talked with Dr Murad today about the results. The cancer is gone. I have had prostate cancer, which showed not active, which is monitored for now.

So the GOOD NEWS IS, the Nasal and Lymph cancer have left the building, I will be monitored as a cancer survivor.

I thank all of you who have sent words of encouragement an prayers, others who brought food and other things to support my journey.

I have love for all of you and just know that I wish you all good health.
