Journal entry by Sarah Denstad

Dad is now settling in at Tweeten in Spring Grove, Minnesota. It has been a long day. I feel bad because I had no idea what to bring for him, so right now he just has his tv and his favorite pillow and blanket. Going to be making the places more homey over the handful of days.
As you all know, dad is a fighter. A stubborn Denstad. He is not giving up, and he is determined to make it to our annual camp out, and to the benefit.
It’s nice to see him not hooked up to wires.
So far the staff at Tweeten have been amazing. Answering our questions (we didn’t really have a lot, not going to lie) and just making dad feel at ease.
Dad is allowed visitors, they just ask for two people at a time. Dad is also allowed to do whatever he pleases, (as long as he is safe) including going on outings. So if any of you would like to stop by, chat/keep him company, or even bring him to Ivy Grove or even just sit outside and talk, please do! His room number is 130.
As always, thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers!
