Journal entry by Vona Dean —
Hello everyone. We have done the sister switch on Ken last Sunday. He is doing well as can be expected. He had an MRI Monday to check on the C-1 vertebrae hoping that it is stable enough not to have surgery. Which is being anxiously awaited. He is moving about pretty well and is need of some assistance throughout the day. Meal times are the biggest challenge for him. If you are available to heat up the food, get drinks, assist him in keeping track of glasses and visitation with him this is the time. I am here through the week and will be going back Saturday mid morning. He’s really good at telling you where things are and what he needs help with. If anyone wants to spend the night, that would be nice. He usually doesn’t need anything from you... just knowing that someone is here and companionship.
Go to ways to help or the planner to sign up for helping. Thank you so much for your prayers, help, food and help. His siblings and family!
A $25 donation to CaringBridge powers a site like Kenneth's for two weeks. Will you make a gift to help ensure that this site stays online for them and for you?
