Journal entry by Jillian Kodama —
We know many of you are wondering how Ken is doing. So, here’s our last update now that he is out of the hospital and out of the woods (she said with her fingers and toes crossed!).
He is recuperating at home and has started both occupational (for vision issues) and speech therapies on an outpatient basis.
The doctors are optimistic they now have him on the right meds to prevent any more strokes - 4+ is enough! While his stamina level is still very low, he’s doing pretty well. He can walk fine and has full use of his arms and hands. With therapy and more time to heal, we believe his vision problems will improve as will his slurred speech. Hopefully in a few months he will be good as new! Or at least back to his old self.
In closing, thank you one and all for your prayers, well wishes, words of encouragement, visits, food deliveries and most of all, love. We are truly blessed to have this kind of amazing support.
