Ken and Michelle, You are continuing in our prayers. Thanks to Kirsten, we have been keeping up with her travels and your mother's travels and visits.
I share your info with the rest of this side of the family. Your cousin, Amy, is traveling along the Rhine today with her husband. He has meetings in Germany for these 3 weeks. Your cousin, Michael, who coaches the VIenna Metro Stars and serves as the liaison person for the European Federation of Baseball to the Baseball Federations in the Baltic countries, is in Croatia today. Last week he was in Valencia, Spain for meetings. Next week to Munich. Phyllis celebrated her 77th birthday yesterday. Ended up with way too much birthday cake from the 3 parties. The 6 great grandkids visited, but did not eat enough cake. You were remembered in our men's Bible class yesterday. May you find comfort and peace in the constant compassion, mercy, and grace of God.
Uncle Doug

Yeah, it does suck and your strength in this unbearable struggle is admirable. I hope you have a good visit with your mom next week. Kirsten and I look forward to our the visit the week after that. Let us know if we should pick up anything on the way. (... more Basil Hayden?)

Hi Ken and Michelle. I check this site every so often to see how 'things' are going. It is always a joy to see your smiles and witness your living life to the fullest possible. As I mentioned when you were first diagnosed, I walked the path of GB with my former husband. It's tough and you never know exactly what's next. I'm glad you are enjoying Philly and hopefully the sunny spring and summer days will bring added joy to each day. Thinking of you and sending positive energy your way! Hugs, Janet

We have never experienced anything close to what you are going through. We do, however, appreciate so much your honesty and directness. I do believe that you are helping others, those going through something similar and even those who are not, by modeling such courage and honesty. Thank you.
