Journal entry by Mark and Kelly Cardella —
Hi everyone -
Sorry for the gap in updates, but life gets busy and the struggle is real! Kelly is doing well and through the first four of her final 12 treatments. For you math folks out there, that's eight more treatments until she gets to ring the bell! We're still waiting to talk to the radiologist about whether or not radiation will be required. If so, at least there's a month between the end of chemo and the start of radiation.
This round of chemo is much different than the first. Aside from being weekly instead of bi-weekly, the side affects are different as well. Nausea is gone! Body pain is here :( There are good days and bad days. Sometimes the thought of walking to the kitchen is difficult but she keeps pushing.
We're committed to updating more often Thanks for following along and for all of the support.
