February 25, 2021 - Update 3

They switched dialysis machines to see how she would do. They are going to be flipping on her tummy again.
So they are going to see how she does with the changes. Right now & for the next 24-48hrs are going to be able to show us if she is going to tolerate the changes and if she will show any signs of recovery. If she happens to recover, it will take years to recover. She is still guarded critically ill. He always says her 'quality of life' will be worse after. So it helps right now, knowing they are going to make these changes to see how she does. We should know in 24-48hrs what the outcome will be.

February 25, 2021 - Update 2

Things are still the same. The doctor was saying that 1 in 10,000 patients in her situation, if they do recover, will not be the same. Also, even if something does change, it would be a very steep mountain to climb.
Lastly, if her body isn't showing any signs of improvement, that it is showing us that she just can't overcome it.😢🙏🏼✝️

Her oxygen with the ventilator keeps going up & down. They keep flipping her from her stomach to her back. They flipped her on her back this am and when she's on her back she is needing more oxygen. They are going to flip her on her stomach again tonight. She has low blood pressure and is getting medication for that, but her pulmonary blood pressure is high. Her overall health is still the same & not showing improvement, like they want to see. Also, having to flip her isn't ideal.

Keep praying!🙏🏼

February 25, 2021 - Update 1

Everything is still about the same, no major changes. She is still on high support.
They will be flipping her back onto her back today. They did medically paralyze her when they flipped her on her stomach yesterday. More info to come.

February 21, 2021

I talked to the nurse & she said the doctor will be calling me again today. She is needing more support than yesterday. She was at 60% oxygen yesterday  when I talked to the doctor and now she had to go back up to 100% on the ventilator.
Her blood pressure went low again, so they had to put her back on blood pressure meds.😔
I will be waiting to hear from the doctor to ask more questions & what happened specifically.

February 20, 2021

I talked to the nurse and the Dr today. Everything is still about the same. They haven't made any changes with the ventilator & dialysis machine. Since she did make some progress it will take longer to know what to expect. The doctor said in a few days they should be making the change with her dialysis machine.

Prayers

The past couple months have been tough for our family but God is Good and Prayers do work. Bonnie, Kellie’s mom, has been battling Covid since November; she had multiple hospital visits and a stay at a care facility. But she is doing so much better.
So keep praying for Kellie 🙏
