Journal entry by Keena Cole —
Okay, so surgery was on the first of October at the crack of dawn. It went well, fast and easy from what I hear since I was asleep through it all. I did take a couple pain pills but felt well enough on the 2nd to get out of the house for a bit. The pathology results came back and I met with the surgeon for the post op visit on the 12th. The pathology results stated there was a complete perfect pathological response to the chemo meaning there was no residual carcinoma!! WOOHOO! Very good news! Dr. Hurley said the surgical sites all look good and are healing well. My hair is getting longer and fuller every day. I feel more energetic and my mind is less fuzzy. Things are looking up and going well. I meet with Dr. Feeney the radiologist on November 3rd to discuss and plan the radiology treatments. Thanks for sticking with me!
