Journal entry by Alicia Hammond

This Thank You was in the Faulk County Record last week, but we understand that our community extends far outside of the newspaper's reach.  We wanted to make sure the large #Kaydenstrong army knows how appreciated they are.

"And then one day everything changed"

As 2022 draws to a close we want to once again thank the community who has been so supportive of us through 2022.  In January when Kayden was diagnosed the community immediately rallied and "Suits and Sneakers" helped provide immediate financial support as well as set the foundation for an army of Kayden Strong supporters.  As Kayden battled through phases the food kept showing up, gas cards were sent, fundraisers happened, orange was everywhere, and roles were quietly filled by people wanting to help.  Approximently 3,500 total shirts were ordered to support Kayden through all the various organizations, orange laces, ribons, and clothing was and will always be a constant reminder of love and support shown.  When we hit September, the battle raged big.  Once again the Kayden Strong army stepped up to give back and support in big ways.  We may never know everything that was done for us but please know how thankful, humbled, and blessed we all feel.  Kayden touched many lives, and we will forever feel the impact of your support. We appreciate you carrying us through the toughest moments of our life.  May we all cling to Joshua 1:9 as we move forward in our lives.  Our family is hopeful that no matter what this community faces, we shall forever remain #Kaydenstrong.

I will leave you with a quote Kayden had saved multiple times on his phone.

"Together you and the Lord can handle anything that comes your way." Bobby Engram

Thank you for your unconditional love, unending support, and prayers that flooded the sky.
