Journal entry by Katy Orr —
Yesterday I had chemotherapy and it didn’t go as expected. My therapy started normal got my premedication and then got my Gemzar. Started getting Carboplatin, I had gotten about 3/4 of the infusion and I had a severe allergic reaction. I became very hot and called the nurse. She said I was very red faced. She stopped the infusion and gave me medication for the allergic reaction. Benadryl, steroids and a breathing treatment. From this point forward I will only be getting Gemzar.
March 21, 2024 I will get a CT SCAN, see Dr Griffin and start 4th round of Gemzar. My cancer marker (CA125) is still coming down it was 123.
I am going back to work on Monday 3/4:2024. Life is good and I am appreciative of all my friends who are praying for me and checking on me! God blesses me everyday!
