Kat...
I read about ur accident. I, too, have been hit by a boat propeller at Lake Hartwell. I went through extensive OT at GA Hand at Piedmont. Feel free to reach out to me at cpsteele1@yahoo.com for support, encouragement & as a health resource. You can get through this! Candy Palmer-Steele ❤️❤️

It's wonderful, dearest Kathlyn to know that you are recovering progressively, it comes from your mental strength, your energy, your enthusiasm in life and also from the love of your family so concerned to help you in this tough period, (you have such a great family, you know my attachment to your marvelous mother), not forgetting the talent of the doctors having taken care of you.
You are an exemple of courage !
Your destiny is amazing because all the ingredients were there to put you out of this world, but no, you had to stay alive, which a great joy for everybody in your family and friends, as well as for me.
You will get stronger after this proof, because you know how to transform the bad in good, the secret of life is "transformation", not complain.
Much love from Paris, dearest Kathlyn, and I hope to see you soon here, we will share a good dinner together again ! with a good wine !
Claude

Beautiful words written by such a resilient awesomely strong young lady.
“ A resilient personality is characterized most of all by cognitive flexibility and an ability to tolerate ambiguity well. Their inner vision, calm and mature, allows them to see EVERY challenge not as a threat , but as a time to gather internal resources in order to put into place a Positive and Effective resistance “
Your strength, courage and grace are amazing.
Prayers continue daily for you and your miraculous recovery.
Hugs from Canton, Georgia.

Dear Kat,
After texting your Mom with photos of Paris, I realized I wanted to look at your caring bridge and voila! A new posting by YOU.
Your honesty is completely admired. In my darkest hours of fighting cancer, i repeated over and over, adnauseum, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." And what do you know, it did!

Two of the most energetic and go-get’em women I know are house-bound - what a life-changing situation. This terrible and unfortunate accident was met by an extraordinary strength and courage on your part and the selfless acts of response and healing by others. You are an inspiration to us all. We all love you and your family. We continue to hold you close and pray for a continuation of your miraculous recovery Kathlyn!

Kathlyn, reading your telling of the accident and the aftermath was a bit chilling. The way you are processing everything warms my heart as you are doing it with maturity and grace. I’m sure you keep hearing the words “you are amazing” but it’s the truth! ☮️
