Katy, I’ve just learned about Kathlyn’s accident. Kathryn forwarded me the link to her Caringbridge page. What an amazing story of strength and resilience!
Kat, I have to think all those years of rowing made you particularly strong in the water! It is so good to know you’re home . I know a year of recovery seems like forever. But I’m sure that with your wonderful support network when you look back on this year you will see blessings amongst even the hardest days. You will be in my prayers and I will ask my Covenant small group here in Dallas to also support you through their prayers. Both Kathryn and I miss being in Atlanta and keeping up with your Westminster ‘08 class. Sending love and prayers your way!
Wow what a warrior you are. As you can tell by my last name, I am your neighbor at the lake. I sent a card but I guess to the wrong address since it came back “return to sender”.
I believe God sent you here on earth and He is not ready to have you “returned to sender”. I pray for a speedy recovery.
Katy, we have been thinking of you and Kat on a daily basis. It's surreal to think of you both in our home so recently and how much your lives have reshaped. The miracle of Kat's survival and recovery is a marvel. May the coming days find each step is toward renewed health and vigor.
Love, Corinne and Gary
Though you don't know me I am praying that you are improving somewhat every moment and that way sooner than later you will be pain free and able to enjoy every day.

We don't know one another, Kat, but I'm crazy about your mom and can see that her vibrant, life-enhancing spirit is well-ensconced in your genes too. "Indomitable" clearly runs in the family! Please give your mom a (one-armed) hug for me--and remind her to take care of herself so she can take care of you! Cheers, Sam Pettway
Hi Proud Kat's Mom:-) Just catching up on the latest post-your's...and am once again blown away by you, Kat, your family, friends. So glad to hear that you are home and settling into this new phase of Kat's healing. Unbelievably impressed with the care that you all received from the hospital near Lake Burton-tremendous. Continuing to send vibes of love, support, healing, strength from all of us all over the country. Love the picture of Kat with Adelaide and their other friend...beautiful! XOXO Valerie
