Journal entry by Megan Dunsil —
Here is an update as of tonight from Brittany.
Update on mom:
Mom has been admitted into Mission Hospital in Asheville because her white blood cell count (wbc) is super low, she wasn’t able to have her chemo treatment this past Wednesday because of it. She ran a little bit of a fever last night around 100 and then again this morning around 4am. Her oncologist wanted her to come in because if she were to get an infection with her wbc that low her body wouldn’t be able to fight it. They’re giving her an iv of antibiotics and she’ll have to stay overnight tonight and tomorrow night probably, and possibly Sunday night too. Dad is with her, but no visitors are allowed to stay after 8pm, and he’s driving back tonight. Staffing is limited at the hospital and a friend who use to work at mission said that care is not what it should be and that we would need to keep an eye on her, so not being able to stay with her is stressful for us. That’s all I know right now. Please keep her in your prayers.
