Kathy’s Story

Site created on March 5, 2022

Kathy and I recently spent three weeks in what we consider the most beautiful place on earth, Costa Rica. We had a wonderful experience there and when we returned Kathy started feeling some pain in her chest and in her arm. So we brought her in and did some body scans and head scans and found out that she has stage three lung cancer. Five years ago she had a small amount of lung cancer removed from her left lung and now it is in the right lung. The cancer is the reason for the severe pain in her neck chest and arm and so she has been on some pain relievers until we can start chemotherapy treatments. We are working with the Cancer Center in Willmar and they are quite good at what they do. Our hope is that the chemotherapy and radiation treatments will shrink the cancer cells in her lungs and give her some relief. Kathy and I certainly appreciate your prayers and thoughts.
