Katherine’s Story

Site created on February 22, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Katherine’s favorite things are notes from her friends and prayers. Please know that anything you write she will read or it will be read to her. She was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis type 2 back in 2005 and had surgery in 2006. She is amazingly strong and we have only God to thank for how well she did all those years ago. On 2/22/22 she will have another tumor removed. It is benign but has gotten larger than the doctors like so it needs to be removed. With God’s help and the very capable hands of her doctors, we trust that she will do just as well. Please keep her in your prayers as she goes through another journey and has to heal. Keep her and her family and husband and children particularly in her prayers.

Journal entry by Margaret Patterson

Good morning everyone. Sorry for not posting lately. I was traveling to Louisiana and then just spending time with Katherine. Katherine is doing really well so there isn’t much to report. She is almost off her medication now only dealing with some muscle tension headaches. We have been taking walks and reading books that her friends sent. She appreciates all of the texts sent, prayers, food she has received and love from friends and family. I will be here for a few more days until Amelie arrives to take over. Blake is back to work today. Again, thank you to everyone for the support!
