Lasting Love

By Caroline Wright

After being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer when she was 32, Caroline Wright of Seattle struggled to find the right kind of book to help her two young sons understand what was happening. So she decided to write Lasting Love as a gentle reminder that even if a parent’s body doe not survive, their love for their children remains forever.

Working closely with illustrator Willow Heath, the simple text and gentle illustrations in Lasting Love offer a helpful visualization of a sick person’s essence as a friendly creature who helps a child navigate through loss, and enforces that they are not alone.

The book follows The CaringBridge Project, a memoir based on Caroline’s CaringBridge Journal posts through her first year of treatment for glioblastoma
