Sorry for the delay in updates! Mom has had two subsequent scans that have shown that things are looking good/as expected and there is no need for any further treatment at this time. She will continue to follow up with the Neuro oncology team, with her next scan in about 3 months.
Great news!
Still, recovery from cancer treatment is HARD! Mom still struggles with quite low energy levels and motivation as well as mental difficulties like short term memory and ability to focus. All seems par for the course with what her brain and body have been through, but still very frustrating to not be able to bounce back and feel “normal.”
Please feel free to reach out via text or e-mail as I’m sure mom would love to try to connect more considering she is stuck at home alone most days with not a lot on the agenda. 😊
