So sorry for your loss but overjoyed for the families of the recipients who will now have new life because of Kari. As someone currently on the list waiting for an organ this is a great blessing to so many! Thank you for your selflessness and sacrifice. <3

I worked with Kari for several years at Mayo. She was always very kind, helpful, and patient. She would stop by my cubicle in the office room we shared with others to talk and share her kitty stories and activities over the weekend. Thank you Kari for your smiles and kindness.

I knew Kari for a long time; we were involved in the same bible study at Autumn Ridge Church about 10 years ago and then I worked with her for a brief time in the Department of Nursing at Mayo. I will miss her positivity and great smile. Praying for peace and reassurance knowing Kari is smiling down on us from heaven. God Bless.

Praying for you all at this time. Karlys was my roommate for a brief time, and I will always remember her smile and energy.

Thank you to Kari's family for the invitation to join you in prayer today as Kari was taken to the OR. Some of us were not able to get from our work sites to join you in time so we just wanted you to know that we each had a moment of silence for Kari at our respective locations. We send our thoughts and prayers to all of you. Today, along with the sadness, we celebrate knowing Kari is being welcomed home into the Lord's house, and for that we rejoice.

I worked with Kari in the Department of Nursing and we were Wellness Champions together. What I remember most about Kari is her never ending smile and her warm, amazing hugs. She will be missed so very much. It is a small comfort to me that she will bless people with a second chance at life even if hers was cut short. My love and prayers to her family during this difficult time.

Thessalonians 4:13-14
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

I don’t know what to say but I have to share that, as many know, yesterday was “All Saints Day” at church, remembering loved ones lost, and my boys and I were praying for Kari. We lit a candle in her honor. My youngest has so many questions about death and doesn’t quite understand how and why Kari is in heaven but we’ve done our best to tell him that she’s with Jesus and greeting grandma and grandpa there (my mom and dad) among all the other loved ones she has lost. Kari had the opportunity to meet my mom and was there for me in my darkest times after she passed and loved my boys like they were her own. She was a blessing to our family in our darkest times. To know that she will live on in another beautiful human makes this a little more comforting. I love you sweet girl. I know you are where you need to be but it doesn’t make it any easier. Go do your thing and help make the world better! ❤️🙏💕🙏

Thinking you all and praying for you. In addition, I'm praying for the surgical teams and the recipients of the organs. May the organs give them life and may Kari's faith in God strengthen their own faith.

At 10 am, I will also hold a moment of silence. Hugs to you all.
