Oh Kari my heart breaks for you, your Mom and sister. There is never a good time to lose a parent but there has been an especially different cult time for you all. I’m so sorry. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. I am praying your surgery and recovery will be a success. Love you my friend! 🙏🙏🙏❤️

Kari, it’s your cousin Dave Vandewater checking in. Kristin messaged me on Monday to let me know that uncle John had passed away. I was very saddened to hear that. Your dad was always such a terrific uncle to Keith, Karen, Kristin, and me. on the other hand I was delighted to learn that you have finished your radiation and chemo treatments. That’s a huge milestone to have behind you. I hope your medical team is properly prepped for your upcoming surgery. I’m sure they do. do you know how long they are going to keep you in the hospital after your surgery? Kristin also mentioned that she received an email from your mom, and that Skip is having some problems as well. We are saying many prayers for all of you. Once you’re healthy and home again, and Skip is healthy again, we sure need to set up a family reunion for sometime next summer and get together.May God’s blessings be with you, Kari.

What a complex set of emotions you must be going through, Kari. I am so happy to read the progress made and am encouraged by your optimism as you prepare for surgery, but that is tempered by the sympathy I have you and your family as they grieve the loss of someone so dear to them.

I am keeping you all close in my heart. May your father’s memory be a source of joy and light for all of you during the sad, dark days that grief brings. [[hugs]]
