It has been a long time since I have updated this journal - I am sorry!  But I am so thrilled to let everyone know that Karen finished her chemo four weeks ago.  She had an MRI and ultra sounds that looked amazing - no cancer to be seen.  She has been using her Dr.'s image of the cancer "melting" away - like the Wicked Witch of the West - and in fact it seems as though it did just that!  But they still had to go in surgically and make sure there was no cancer in the lymph nodes and look at the tagged places in her breast where the tumors had been.  She had that surgery this past Monday.  She just heard this evening that the pathology came back, and she is CANCER FREE!  We are so incredibly grateful.  Thank you all for your prayers and support and kindness to Karen and Dorjee.  Now, she will have radiation.  We don't know the schedule for that as yet.  She will also continue to receive antibody treatments (no chemotherapy drugs) every three weeks for the rest of the year.  This has been a journey, but one that you all have made lighter through your support.  Thank you!!  

And Debra Pellinacci - I would LOVE to reconnect with you.  I have looked and looked for you:)  I so love that you remember Karen and that you discovered us on this site. I have not forgotten all the fun we had . . . gleeps moms!  Please call me.  415-233-3200.
