Heather and Terri, my heart breaks for you 💔💔

Almost 30 years ago, I moved from Denmark to California. I didn’t know many people, but then I met you, Heather, and I remember that day as if it were yesterday. Because you brought me to your favorite places and invited me into your family. It was an instant friendship.

‘This is my mom, Karen. She will be your mom in the US, if you ever need one!!!’

And just like that your mom and dad took me in like an extra daughter. We didn’t go see them that often, but we spoke on the phone…a lot. Karen could easily entertain the both of us, when she called. She was so full of zest. She would make us laugh. Tell us to behave. Even scold us at times 😉 But she was always there! We could count on her, day and night. Small in stature, but big in personality and love. A protector. A mama bear. A ray of sunshine. ❤️

Remembering her is easy
We do it every day
But there is an ache within our hearts
That will never go away

Her love will still be your guide and although you cannot see her, she will always be at your side. Rest in peace, Karen. Thank you for all the love you have given us. ❤️

I worked with Karen at CVRep Theater in the early days and she was such great fun and always there to do whatever needed to be done.
Thank you for keeping us all informed these past many days. I know we all kept hoping for the best and knew your mom's zest for life would make her want to make a good run for it! We were all so sad when we heard the news.
Karen was a wonderful lady and I am so happy our paths crossed.
All the best to you.

Heather and Teri I am so sorry. Please keep in touch with me, Bill and Chrissy. I know the miles separate us all, but they are only miles. I will miss my cousin. Donna

Karen will be remembered fondly by so many here at CVRep. I have so many great memories of all the years we worked together on shows from the 8 years at the Joslyn Center to the formative years at CVRep. She was my right arm....whether stage managing a show, running the lights and sound board, painting the sets or the many trips into LA to hold auditions. She loved working in the theater. But mostly, I will miss our friendship. My heart goes out to Heather and Terri and the rest of the family. Sending our love, Ron & Scott
