Karen’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place and hopefully give Karen more of a feeling of community.  After a fall in June 2021 that resulted in a bad break in her arm, there were two subsequent hospitalizations and a stay in transitional care. Karen made the decision to focus on comfort care and moved to Sholom Home in Saint Paul August 25, 2021. She has terrific care with Allina Hospice and the skilled team at Sholom. Meredith and David are with her most every day. We appreciate your support and words of encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In one week we will have the memorial service to honor and celebrate Karen's life.                                  (Wednesday May 17 at 11:00am CST)  Many of you are far from Saint Paul and we have enlisted technology to live stream/Zoom the service.
