Kaity’s Story

Site created on July 22, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  Kaity is undoubtedly one of the most well loved and wholesome individuals. She is strong and is fighting this. At this time we ask for your patience as we interpret the information at hand and share information with our family and friends.

Journal entry by Rachel Mulford

For those still following the caringbridge page, we would like to post a final note. Kaity left us around 3:45am on August 4th. Our hearts are broken, but we are all healing together. Kaity was and continues to be the light in our lives and we cannot express enough gratitude to friends, family and those who have been so generously sending their love and prayers since the beginning of this journey.

A Celebration Of Life for Kaity will take place at the Greenwood Fire Hall on Sunday August 18th at 5:00pm.  A private event for family will take place beforehand and the family asks that visitors respect this and not arrive in advance of the 5:00pm Celebration of Life. This event is meant to honor her life and not solely focus on her passing. With this we ask for no formal attire, and no black outfits. We are hoping for a true celebration and elect for this to be as bright and as beautiful as she was.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the #KaityStrongForever Foundation, care of TideMark Federal Credit Union, attention Ellen Hearn, for Kaity Mulford West, 1941 Bridgeville Highway, Seaford, DE.  Alternatively, please honor Kaity’s memory and passion for animals by making a donation in her name to the SPCA, Humane Society or local animal shelter in your area.
