Journal entry by Kaethlyn Elliott

Updating my journal always feels like "look at me," but friends and family say they're reading it, and some, certainly not all!, want me to keep it going. So, here's the latest:

I'm not sure if COVID has entirely left my body, or if missing half of my left lung makes aging more of a challenge. I've had an increasing issue with breathlessness, so my pulmonologist ordered a CT angiogram done January 13th. The test results showed no blood clots or tumors, but there was inflammation in the lower right lung. Dang!

Then, January 22nd, our daughter Sara said, "Go get tested again. Maybe it's gone by now." We miss getting together, so at her behest, I made an appointment that very afternoon. But before it could happen, a testing nurse called to say there was no sense in my getting retested, "It WILL come out positive." She went on about the CT's, so I said, "Oh, okay," and hung up.

Still I wonder, "Am I still a threat to others?" I doubt it.  But I certainly don't want to share it with anyone, especially Jerry's parents at 97 and 94 whom he visits in Nampa, ID, weekly.

Confusing times.  But there's no need to get anxious about it, not when I have Jesus to depend on. Really, it makes a huge difference in how I would have reacted before He was in my life. Just sayin'.
